Term 2 2018 TheatreSports 10 to 12 years



This term we will be discovering some of the techniques and rules of TheatreSports.

 The basic idea of TS is role-playing improvising and really thinking on the spot. To take on roles that we have an understanding of, an appreciation of, and desire to learn more about.

TheatreSports™ encourages performers to take risks while being good-natured. A variety of stories ranging from the comedic to the dramatic.  It embraces stories of life, politics, religion, and love. It challenges points of view; expresses opinions. It creates a space of theatre that engages the audience in a way that makes them respond openly, shows like “Whos line is it anyway “ is a show most people know that represents Theatre Sports.

History of TheatreSports –

TheatreSports™ is an improvisation show created by Keith Johnstone and developed at the Loose Moose Theatre.  The first official performance was held at the Pumphouse Theatre in 1977.
